Terms of use
This webpage is a service by the University Library LMU. It is based on RDMO, the Research Data Management Organiser.
RDMO is a web application. Processing and storing some personal data to identify a user as participant of a project or a stakeholder from an institution is required. RDMO adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data is only used for the stated purposes and will not be shared with third parties.
RDMO collects your personal data in a user profile, which limited to the minimal requirements. A profile consists of the name, the surname, the email address, the account name of the user, and optionally the ORCID of the user.
We allow third party authentication method using ORCID. Please be aware that by your decision to use this method, you transfer information about this connection to the authentication provider.
Working within RDMO, a user is assigned certain roles and permissions within projects. Each project member is visible to all other project members. RDMO maintains various data about these projects, which are entered by the individual users. This data is not considered part of the user profile. If the project data comprises of personal data or even special categories of personal data (Art. 9 GDPR), the projects members need to take care of handling these issues, e.g. having their own "terms of use" for this project.
You can revoke your consent to the Terms of Use at any time an we will delete your account. You can demand the deletion of your user account when you decide to no longer use the service.
The RDMO service is provided free of charges and is provided on a best effort base, implying no guarantees of availability at all times. Backup of the data is done regularly, but no guarantee is given that all data will be available in all circumstances. RDMO service administrators can deactivate your account at any time.
Use of RDMO does not constitute a legal obligation between you and the operators of the Service.
As a user, you are obliged to respect other users. You agree not to export any personal data of other users without their consent. You agree not to export project data without consent of the other project members. Violation of these rules can result in deletion of your account.
If there is a conflict between any clause of these Terms of Use and any law or regulation, the parties agree to resolve this by amending the clause. It does not invalidate the Terms of Use.
